FFA Events, such as the State FFA Convention, National FFA Convention and National FFA Week, celebrate the amazing accomplishments of members, teachers and the industry of agriculture.
In late September/early October members gather in each district to compete in leadership development events (LDE). These include: Parliamentary Procedure, Conduct of Chapter Meetings, Creed Speaking, Demonstration, Prepared and Extemporaneous Public Speaking, Employment Skills and Quiz Events.
This Leadership Development Event Day is when districts advanced in their events to compete at the state level.
In October, nearly 63,000 FFA members and guests from across the country participate in general sessions, competitive events, educational tours, leadership workshops, and expo and shopping mall, volunteer activities and more. it is one off the largest student conventions in the world.
The North Dakota FFA Organization offers a series of leadership and personal growth conferences. The only requirement is a desire to grow, learn and have fun. These are 101, Blue, Gold and Aspire Conferences.
FFA members gather in Minot, ND every March to compete and test their skills in Agronomy, Agricultural Sales & Service, Livestock Evaluation.
Each year, during the week of George Washington's birthday, FFA members, advisors, alumni and supporters celebrate the organization's contributions to local schools, communities and agriculture through National FFA Week.
In June, more than 1,300 FFA members, advisors and guests from across the state participate in general sessions, competitive events, educational tours, leadership workshops and more.
The North Dakota State Fair is an annual state fair held each July in Minot, North Dakota. The fairgrounds are located along Burdick Expressway in east Minot. The Fair has carnival rides, agricultural expositions, government and commercial exhibitions, and a variety of musical and performance entertainment.
The ND FFA Association recognizes the NDSF as a showplace of North Dakota agriculture. ND FFA is provided the opportunity to share with thousands of guests what agricultural education and FFA means to youth. The NDSF is an opportunity to showcase the products of the student’s efforts, and for students to receive valuable recognition and experience.
ND State Crop Show - The ND Winter Show hosts the State FFA Crops Show in March. Approximately 1,000 samples of ND crops are exhibited annually with over $5,000 dollars in premiums awarded.
