Grant County High School: Agricultural Education Teacher for 2025-2026

Grant County High School in Elgin, ND has a vacancy for an Agriculture Education instructor and FFA Advisor for the 2025-26 school term for a 7-12 student population of 75 students.  Grant County HS has a long history of a quality Ag Ed Program and FFA Chapter with strong community and FFA Alumni support. The position includes an extended contract for summer activities and an additional stipend for FFA advisor. 


Base Salary is $42,400 depending on experience plus extended contract salary;
Advisor pay is 5.5% of salary; 6.0% of TFFR paid; Full single health and dental insurance; 15 days sick leave; 4 days personal leave.

Ellendale: Agricultural Education Teacher for 2025-2026

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic CTE/Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor to join our high school faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire and educate students in agriculture, natural resources, and career and technical education (CTE) pathways while also leading a robust FFA chapter. This dual role is vital in preparing students for both post-secondary education and careers in the agricultural industry.


Instructional Duties:
Develop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned curriculum in agriculture and related CTE pathways.
Teach a variety of agriculture courses such as Ag Science, Animal Science, Plant Science, Agribusiness, Agricultural Mechanics, and Environmental Science.
Incorporate hands-on learning, project-based activities, and supervised agricultural experiences (SAEs).
Integrate employability skills, leadership development, and real-world agricultural practices into instruction.
Maintain accurate and timely records including grades, assessments, and student progress.
FFA Advising:
Serve as the lead advisor for the school's FFA chapter.
Plan and oversee chapter meetings, events, leadership conferences, and competitions.
Support students in developing and maintaining SAEs and preparing for CDEs and LDEs.
Maintain compliance with local, state, and national FFA requirements.
Engage with community stakeholders, including parents, alumni, and local ag industries.
Program Development & Management:
Maintain and manage school farm/lab facilities, greenhouses, and equipment as applicable.
Collaborate with local ag industry partners and post-secondary institutions to enhance student opportunities.
Promote student recruitment and retention within the agriculture/CTE program.
Seek out grants and funding opportunities to support program growth.
 
Qualifications:
Required:
Valid North Dakota teaching credential in Agriculture/CTE or the ability to obtain one.
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Education, or a related field.
Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends for FFA events.
Preferred:
Prior experience teaching agriculture or advising FFA.
Experience in agricultural mechanics, animal science, or horticulture.
Familiarity with state/national FFA programs and CTE frameworks.
CDL or willingness to obtain one (if transporting students or animals is required).
 
Compensation:
Salary based on district salary schedule and experience.
Additional stipend for FFA advisory responsibilities.

Powers Lake: Agricultural Education Teacher for 2025-2026

The Powers Lake School is seeking a qualified applicant for its Agricultural Education position for the 2025-2026 school year. The Powers Lake School has a long history of having a quality Ag Ed program. The community also strongly supports its FFA program and desires to have continued growth in the program. There is an additional extended contract for the summer months as well as compensation for being the FFA advisor.


Enrollment in grades 7-12 is approximately 125 students. Several grants were received this year to purchase new equipment. Mentorship is provided for 1st year teachers as well as veteran teachers. The city of Powers Lake is a small, thriving town with strong agricultural roots as well as many parents employed at jobs in the oil industry. Businesses in town include a grocery store, Country Store, Cenex, Bank, Vet Clinic, Boutique, Coffee Shop, Flower Shop and Hotel.

Turtle Lake-Mercer: Agricultural Education Teacher for 2025-2026

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to support students in grades 7–12, fostering their academic, social, and emotional growth. The ideal candidate will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment that empowers every student to succeed.


Qualifications: Must hold or be able to obtain a North Dakota Teaching License.


Salary: Based on the TL-M Negotiated Agreement. Individuals will be placed according to experience and qualifications. 
Additional $5,000 FFA contract and up to 20-day summer contract based on placement on the salary schedule.

Oakes, ND: Southeast Region Career and Technology Center is seeking an Agriculture Education Instructor & FFA Advisor

The Southeast Region Career/Tech. Center is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Agriculture Instructor to be a part of our twelve-person agriculture program. This person will teach in Oakes, North Dakota. Applicants must have, or be eligible for, a North Dakota Professional Teaching License. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage related agri-science and ag mechanics components of a comprehensive Career and Technical Education Agriculture Program. Providing leadership and direct involvement with the FFA are a must.  Driver's license required.

Position Summary

Washburn Public School is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Agriculture Education Instructor that will inherit a comprehensive agricultural education program aligned to North Dakota Career and Technical Education standards. The successful candidate will provide engaging classroom instruction, supervise experiential learning opportunities, and serve as the advisor for the local FFA chapter. Primary Responsibilities

Instructional Duties

FFA Leadership and Advisement

Serve as advisor for the Washburn FFA Chapter.

Plan and coordinate chapter meetings, leadership activities, and community service projects.

Prepare students for Career Development Events (CDEs), Leadership Development Events (LDEs), and other competitions.

Supervise student participation at district, state, and national FFA events.

Support student leadership development and officer team training.

Maintain compliance with local, state, and national FFA guidelines.

Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) Program

Assist students in developing and maintaining individualized SAE projects.

Conduct SAE supervision visits as required by state CTE guidelines.

Maintain appropriate documentation and records of student SAE progress.

Encourage community partnerships that support student experiential learning.

Program Development and Community Engagement

Maintain and promote a strong agricultural education program aligned with community and industry needs.

Establish and maintain partnerships with local agricultural businesses, organizations, and post-secondary institutions.

Assist with program recruitment and student retention efforts.

Maintain equipment, facilities, and inventory related to the agriculture program.

Extended Contract Responsibilities

Extended contract days will support:

FFA event supervision and travel

SAE site visits and evaluations

Summer leadership and training activities

Curriculum development and program planning

Equipment and facility maintenance

Student recruitment and community outreach

Qualifications

Valid or ability to obtain North Dakota Teaching License with Agriculture Education endorsement.

Strong knowledge of agricultural industry practices and emerging technologies.

Demonstrated ability to work with students in classroom, laboratory, and shop settings.

Ability to supervise students during travel and extended activities.

Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community partners.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous FFA advising experience.

Experience supervising SAE programs.

Agricultural industry or related work experience.

Experience managing agricultural mechanics or shop-based instruction.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift, carry, and operate agricultural and shop equipment.

Ability to work in indoor classroom/shop environments and outdoor agricultural settings.

Ability to travel and supervise students during extended hours and overnight events.
